IMPROVEMENT OF THE SEPARATION AND TREATMENT OF METAL PLASTIC COMPONENT WASTE FOR ITS RECYCLING THE MAIN PROBLEMS OF PLASTIC RECYCLING WILL BE THE QUALITY OF THE RECYCLED MATERIAL IN COMPARISON TO VIRGIN MATERIAL, ITS FIELDS OF APPLICATION AND THE RECYCLING COSTS. THESE HAVE TO BE PROVED FOR EACH METAL-PLASTIC-COMPONENT AVAILABLE IN A SUFFICIENT QUANTITY. THEREFORE THE FOLLOWING R&D WORK IS PROPOSED: 1.- SELECTION OF COMPONENT SCRAPS, ANALYTICAL ESTIMATION OF THE VALUABLES AND THE TOLERABLE DAMAGES OF THE MAIN PLASTIC FRACTION DURING USE AND HANDLING. 2.- DECOMPOSITION OF THE COMPONENTS WITH SUITABLE CRUSHING TECHNIQUES WITH RESPECT TO AVOID DAMAGES WITH NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE PLASTIC QUALITY. 3.- SEPARATION OF THE METAL-PLASTIC-FRACTIONS AND THE PLASTIC-PLASTIC-FRACTIONS BY USING CONVENTIONAL PROCESSES (EDDY CURRENT, HEAVY MEDIA, RISING CURRENT, CYCLONES, DRY FLOW ETC...) MODIFIED FOR THE SPECIAL DUTIES. 4.- CLEANING AND PRETREATING OF THE MAIN PLASTIC FRACTION FOR THE RECOMPOUNDING STEP 5.- RECOMPOUNDING OF THE RECYCLED AND PRETREATED PLASTICS INCLUDING SEPARATION OF IMPURITIES BY FILTRATION OF THE MELT. 6.- TESTING AND QUALIFYING THE SECONDARY PLASTIC PRODUCT IN THE SENSE OF MECHANICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND ITS POSSIBLITIES FOR HIGH LEVELLED APPLICATIONS.
